OUR CORE VALUES
We are a group of gay fathers that socialize, network, and support each other in each of our personal journeys. GFC RVA members are committed to the following core values:
-
We will be open and honest to all of our members and are committed to support each other.
-
To educate and increase community awareness and to provide outreach to professionals and community organizations to support the challenges and issues facing gay fathers.
-
To build community partnerships to better support gay fathers, their children, and families.
-
We will welcome new members at all times to participate in our meetings and social events.
-
We will respect the privacy of all of our members, and the privacy of their children and families.
-
GFC meetings and events are considered a "safe place" and all discussions are considered private and confidential.
-
GFC RVA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, or marital status.
-
Although the GFC RVA is a social group, and close personal relationships are built between members, GFC RVA events are not a place to seek intimate or sexual relationships.
-
GFC RVA events are not a place for illegal drug use or solicitation.
